Graduate recruitment is expensive for businesses. Finding the right people is not an easy task and the costs involved are not a joke. Newly hired graduates in companies are considered high maintenance because they need to undergo training that is very detailed considering that it’s their first time to work as employees of a company. Since these individuals came in due to their qualifications and quick ability to learn, they also call for competitive salaries.

When you hire new grads, you normally load them with a lot of responsibilities knowing how capable they are and how fresh their minds are in grasping whatever is taught to them in training.

However, you need to be careful about giving them too much or else they wouldn’t be able to handle everything and might consider accepting better opportunities elsewhere. You have to be specific in giving them the responsibilities they need to handle.
